Public Notary

At Soden Legal, we provide fast, accurate, and fully accredited public notary services to ensure your documents are properly certified and legally recognised overseas.

WHAT IS PUBLIC NOTARY

A public notary has been likened to “an International Justice of the Peace” because, almost exclusively, the work of a notary involves documentation required by a client for overseas use.

By comparison, documentation for use within Australia can usually be dealt with by a qualified lawyer.

At Soden Legal, our Notary provides services that include;

  • Authenticating official, Government and personal documents and information for use overseas
  • Witnessing signatures of individuals to documents and authenticating identity
  • Witnessing Powers of Attorney for use overseas, including from time to time, preparing them
  • Certifying true copies of documents for use overseas
  • For corporations and business, witnessing documents and authenticating status and transactions
  • Dealing with documentation for land, property and deceased estates overseas

WHO CHOOSE SODEN LEGAL FOR PUBLIC NOTARY SERVICES

Our Notary was qualified as a Notary in 1999 and has notarised documents for every continent except Antarctica.  He is able to use this experience to ensure your documents are properly certified and recognised overseas.

Most Notary appointments can be obtained at short notice.  If your documents are in order, they will be notarised without delay.

You need to provide your Passport to verify your identity and have the documents prepared in a format that will be accepted in the overseas jurisdiction.

To notarise a copy of a document as a true copy, we must sight the original document.  There are also special arrangements for notarising an academic transcript from an Australian University

Fees will be confirmed prior to any appointment being booked.
